| Afriplex has officially implemented the Cultrax® cannabis track and trace system to ensure compliance to both local and international regulations. Cultrax® is a complete cannabis traceability system that was specifically developed by the Cannabis Research Institute of South Africa (CRI) to match the requirements of the South African cultivator as set out by South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) and international bodies such as the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB). Besides compliancy, Cultrax® also provides the cultivator with basic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) functionality to streamline business functions at an affordable price. The Cultrax® system allows for comprehensive data to be tracked that enables, over time, a better understanding of product quality metrics, stability, shelf life, and contamination. These are just a few of the benefits of the early adoption of GMP, in addition to GACP in the cultivation phase of manufacturing herbal drug substances and herbal drug products. This will ensure that data is consistently tracked from cultivation operations, through the Afriplex manufacturing process all the way to the end user.
